Floorcoverings are the foundation of a well-designed room. Often the focus of the interior is 'not' the flooring. The flooring can, however, tie a series of rooms together.

There are two basic floorcovering categories: Hard surfaces and Carpet. Hard surface floor materials include:

  • Hardwood floors
  • Marble tile
  • Ceramic tile
  • Concrete surfaces
  • Vinyl flooring (which includes sheet goods and vinyl tile)
  • Cork flooring

These flooring materials can have patterns or can be arranged to create accent designs to create interest. Hard surface flooring in many instances can be covered with area rugs.

Carpeting includes:

  • Wall to wall
  • Patterned carpet
    • Cut and loop designs
    • Area rugs
      • Oriental design
      • Traditional design
      • Contemporary design
      • Carpet can be custom colored
      • Custom area rugs can be made by choosing a design and then choosing the colors (similar to 'color by number')
      • Many of these rugs can be designed on the computer where customers can view their custom designs and print them out to help visualize what the custom designed rug will look like
